Prince Claus Awards: Request for Nominations - Due 15 September 2010

Recognising and greatly respecting your experience and status in the field of culture and development, the Prince Claus Fund would like to invite you to participate as a nominator in our Awards Programme.  
The Prince Claus Awards are an integral part of the Fund's strategy for enhancing and stimulating culture and development. Working mainly in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Fund is a platform for intercultural exchange. The Fund also has a special interest in Zones of Silence, countries and spaces where cultural expression is restricted or hidden. In collaboration with artists, intellectuals and institutions, the Fund organises and supports innovative cultural activities, events and publications on relevant contemporary issues.

Call for applications and nominations for 2011 Oak Human Rights Fellowship - Application Deadline 15 Dec 2010

The Oak Institute for the Study of International Human Rights at Colby College in Waterville, Maine (USA) is pleased to announce its call for applications and nominations for the 2011 Oak Human Rights Fellowship. The fellowship is a one-semester appointment for a scholar-in-residence. It is designed to provide one human rights practitioner doing "on-the-ground" work a respite from front-line duties and enable them to reflect, write, and communicate their work to the campus community.
